Emerald - Antique Gemstone Part 1

We’d like to share our passion and expertise for diamonds with you, which is why we’ve created the Blesq diamonds blog – read on for gripping tales and exciting news about the most precious gemstone on Earth.

During 1500 B.C. the emerald earned his value as a gemstone, found in Cleopatra’s Mines in Marsa Alam. Cleopatra, Egypt’s last pharaoh, adorned herself with this extraordinary stone. Presumably in the belief that he will prolong youth. In the Arab countries, emeralds are often worn as gemstones because they have always been considered, healing stones. In antiquity, the passion for emeralds was divided between the Incas, Aztecs, Romans and the Greeks. The emerald seemed to have played an important role in rituals attributed to youth, healing, and fertility.

To this day, the emerald is one of the most extraordinary gemstones and is incorporated by hand into our BLESQ jewelry.
